Living Room Transformation: From Basic to Bold

This living room went from an open, neutral space to a richly layered, boutique-style lounge—and the transformation is nothing short of incredible.

Before: Clean Slate with Mid-Century Vibes

The original setup featured light hardwood floors, neutral walls, and a mix of mid-century-inspired furniture. Blue velvet chairs and a cognac leather couch offered a nice pop of color, while a sleek bar cart and sculptural floor lamp gave the room a minimalist edge. While clean and functional, the space lacked the warmth and dimension it was capable of.

After: Boutique Lounge with Bold Character

Now this is a room with presence.

Dark, moody walls instantly set a dramatic tone, while layered lighting and wall art bring it to life. The textured ceiling treatment draws the eye up, adding architectural interest and a custom feel. The furniture arrangement now feels intentional and intimate, centered around a round coffee table on a warm-toned rug.

Framed art, open shelving, organic accents, and curated barware all create the feel of a designer-inspired lounge—perfect for cocktails, conversation, or cozy nights in.
